Public Notice

The Illinois Department on Aging (IDoA) is providing public notice of a proposed modification to the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) Two-Year State Plan, in accordance with the Older Americans Act and Department of Labor Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) 14-25. The proposed modification reflects updates required by TEGL 14-25 and addresses program goals, priorities, and service strategies for the current program period.

Public Comment Period: June 29, 2026, through July 28, 2026

Members of the public, program participants, stakeholders, and interested parties are invited to submit written comments on the proposed modification. Comments may be submitted via email to: Aging.OAS@illinois.gov

Please include “SCSEP State Plan Modification - Public Comment” in the subject line. All comments received by July 28, 2026, will be reviewed and considered prior to submission of the modified plan to the U.S. Department of Labor.
