The Illinois Department on Aging works to protect the rights of adults age 60 or older and people with disabilities age 18-59 who live in the community to prevent abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation.

  • The Adult Protective Services Program (APS) works to prevent abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation of adults age 60 or older and people with disabilities age 18-59 living in the community.

  • The Illinois Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program protects and promotes the rights and quality of life for people who live in long term care facilities.
