Older Adult Services Act
The Older Adult Services Advisory Committee was established as a provision of the Older Adult Services Act. This 31-member committee plays a vital role in guiding the development and restructuring of services for older adults across the state. It meets at least quarterly to study and make recommendations on a wide range of initiatives required by the Act.
In addition to its advisory role, the committee is responsible for monitoring, developing, and providing guidance on various reports and demonstration grants that support the Act’s implementation. Its work ensures that services for older adults remain responsive, effective, and aligned with evolving needs.
The committee is composed of a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from statewide associations, senior service organizations, citizen members, and family caregivers. This broad representation helps ensure that multiple perspectives are considered in shaping policies and programs that impact older adults throughout the state.
